1996

C&C Fabrications is Founded

Founded in Allerton Bywater by two fabricators, Chris Wallage and Chris Butler.

C&C Fabrications begins its journey in a family garage, as a small partnership specialising in manufacturing gates and light fabrication.

The company quickly gains a reputation for craftsmanship and precision in the growing metal fabrication industry.

C&C Outgrows the Garage and Expands

With a growing reputation for precision craftsmanship, the company rapidly outgrew its garage workshop.

The founders moved operations to Ledston Luck Enterprise Park, renting a small factory.

As demand increased, they added a second unit and hired their first employees, laying the foundation for future growth.

2003

C&C Becomes a Limited Company

C&C Fabrications transitioned into a Limited Company, formalising its structure and establishing itself as a reliable name in the metal fabrication industry.

2004

New Property Purchase

C&C Fabrications partners purchase a 8,000 sq ft, more advanced manufacturing property in Ferrybridge and renovations take place to improve the site, including new offices.

This allows the company to scale up production while maintaining the high standards of quality for which it is known. The new site supports the company’s expanded team and technological advancements, setting the stage for future growth.

2010

National Recognition and Powder Coating

C&C Fabrications recognised as a leader in the UK’s metal fabrication industry. Known for its exceptional quality, expert knowledge, and attention to detail, the company became a trusted name for bespoke projects and large-scale manufacturing. To streamline operations, a powder coating plant was constructed, allowing the business to oversee the entire fabrication process from start to finish.

2013

Factory Extended for Advanced Technology

In response to growing demand and a commitment to cutting-edge technology, the factory was extended to accommodate a state-of-the-art laser cutting machine. This new equipment enhanced precision and efficiency, solidifying C&C's competitive edge.

2016

20-Year Anniversary

C&C celebrated 20 years in business, reflecting on its remarkable journey from a two-person operation to a thriving enterprise employing 16 staff members. The company expanded its services, taking on more complex projects in sectors such as warehousing, logistics, and commercial spaces. Investments in advanced technology ensured the business could meet rising client demands with precision and efficiency.

New Leadership and Expansion

Chris Wallage became the sole owner and Managing Director of C&C Fabrications, introducing a fresh vision for the company’s future. To support growing operations, a second property of 10,000 sq. ft. was rented, significantly increasing manufacturing capabilities and accommodating new projects.

2019

Chris Taylor Promoted to Director

Chris Taylor, who joined C&C in 2006, was promoted to Director after 13 years of dedicated service. Having started in the workshop, he progressed to office management and led a technological transformation that modernised operations. Under his leadership, the company grew from 8 to 28 employees, reinforcing its position as a leader in high-quality metal fabrication.

2020

Diversification into Bespoke Fabrications and Investment in New Equipment

C&C Fabrications diversified its service offerings, focusing on bespoke fabrication projects for a wide range of industries. The company began taking on smaller, custom jobs alongside larger, more complex projects, including retail fixtures, bespoke machinery parts, and architectural metalwork. To support this expansion, C&C invested in two state-of-the-art press brake machines in 2020, enhancing its capability to deliver high-precision metal fabrication tailored to client needs.

Castleford Tigers Sponsorship

As lifelong supporters of Castleford Tigers, C&C became Executive Sponsors of the team. Beyond backing the club, the partnership extended to supporting community initiatives through the Tigers Trust, reflecting the company’s dedication to its local area.

New Machinery Investments

New equipment included the Meyer Geared Head Pillar Drill, enabling faster and safer drilling, and the Siegmund Welding Table, which enhanced fabrication accuracy. These investments underscored the company’s commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

Company of the Year
