What is the most interesting project you have worked on?

An indoor football court for quite a well-known sports brand – and a basketball display for a very big brand as well, that one went to Amsterdam and one down to London!

We tend to do a lot of bespoke projects, mainly because we handle everything from the design and fabrication through to the installation, which takes the stress away for customers. Bigger brands come to us when they need something structurally sound but visually impressive, because we’ve built a reputation for delivering top-quality unique pieces that can cope with public use and still look premium.

What would be your dream project to work on?

I like quite artistic sorts of things – I’d like to get into forging, which is almost a dying art in metalwork now, but I like making metal sculptures and stuff that looks like trees and plants.

Working somewhere like C&C does make you think about how those ideas could become real one day. The scale of equipment and the kind of materials we work with gives you the foundation to explore that side of the metalwork if the right project came along. It’d be amazing to take on something where the industrial skills and the artistic side meet.

What services do C&C offer?

From fabricating it to painting it, powder coating it to then going and fitting it, we do a lot of fitting. Anything you can think to do with metalwork really, I think we’ve probably done it here! We are still doing a lot of different things, so anything!

Whether it’s bespoke or custom work, C&C handle the full process: design and steel fabrication, laser-cutting or welding, powder-coating or painting finishes, and finally on-site delivery and installation. If it involves metalwork, C&C will usually have the capacity and experience to take it on.
