Celebrating 30 Years at C&C Fabrications: Building on Our Past, Investing in Our Future

Chris Wallage, 2 July 2026

This year marks a huge milestone for us at C&C Fabrications as we celebrate 30 years in business.

What started in 1996 as a small operation run from a residential garage in Ferrybridge has grown into a thriving fabrication and engineering company working with more than 200 customers across the UK. From accessibility solutions and street furniture to bespoke projects at national landmark sites, we’ve always taken pride in delivering quality work and building long-term relationships.

Today, we’re a team of 32 working towards £3.8 million in turnover this year but we were once a team working from a garage with just two employees, and our values remain the same today. While we’re incredibly proud of how far we’ve come, we’re even more excited about where we’re heading next.

Investing £1 Million in the Next Chapter

Growth has never happened by accident at C&C. Every investment we’ve made over the last three decades has been carefully planned to improve what we can offer our customers.

That’s why we’re now investing £1 million into the future of our business over the next five years. Bringing more of our processes under one roof means we can improve lead times, increase capacity and provide an even better service to our customers.

Embracing Technology for the Future

Manufacturing is changing rapidly.

Like many businesses in our industry, we’ve seen the growing skills shortage affecting traditional fabrication roles. Rather than standing still, we’ve chosen to embrace technology and invest in automation.

By introducing more automated machinery and advanced programming capabilities, we’re reducing our reliance on manual processes while maintaining the precision, quality and flexibility that our customers expect from us.

It’s not about replacing people – it’s about giving our team the tools and skills they need to deliver even better results.

Investing in Our People

Our business has always been built around local people.

Many members of our team joined us as apprentices and have developed into highly skilled engineers and technical specialists over the years. Supporting career progression has always been an important part of who we are, and that won’t change.

As our technology evolves, so does our approach to training. We’re continuing to invest in upskilling our workforce so they can confidently work with the latest automation and programming technology, ensuring we remain at the forefront of modern fabrication

Chris Wallage, Managing Director of C&C Fabrications, said: ”Thirty years ago, we were two people working out of a garage. We’ve never taken the easy route and every investment we’ve made has been deliberate - that’s what’s got us here alongside our ethos of strong customer service and long-term team building.

I believe the next five years are going to be more interesting than the last thirty. Technology and AI are moving fast – what we can offer customers in five years will look very different to today. That’s what drives the investment.
