Meet the Team behind C&C Fabrications
C&C Fabrications, March 2025
There are many reasons why C&C Fabrications produce the highest quality steel fabricated products – from the latest technology and high-spec machines to the quality of the materials we use. But the biggest reason that we can consistently make the best-in-the-business fabricated products is our team.
We sat down with members from across the team to discuss how their expertise is reflected in our products and what C&C means to them.
What does C&C Fabrications mean to you?
Barbara Kelly, Senior Sales Engineer: I really do think our product is outstanding. When I see the finished product and the hard work that went into creating the piece, I feel proud, especially when I see it all packaged up and ready to be sent out.
What is the secret to C&C being successful?
Elliot Meakin, Foreman: Everything is done under one roof, we’re a one-stop shop when it comes to steel fabricating and all the associated services.
Louis Heaton, Fabrication and Press Brake: From fabrication, painting and powder coating and installation, it’s all done here. Anything to do with metal work really, we can offer.
Why do you think customers choose C&C?
Mo Ferris, General Fabrication: We produce good quality products for customers, if we didn’t, they’d go elsewhere. That’s something I’ve always been taught, so as long as we continue to provide good products. The customers are happy, and they’ll keep coming back.
Chris Taylor, Director of Finance and Operations: If we tell a customer we’ll meet a specific deadline, we’ll meet that deadline. We keep customers informed at every stage of the process, if we ever run into any problems while working on their project, we’ll always explain how we’ve overcome it. Many of our customers are repeat customers who keep coming back with different projects, they know the standard of product they will receive, and they know what to expect from the process.
What do you enjoy most about working at C&C?
Aiden Wright, Powder Coating: I like seeing the entire process. Seeing the steel coming in, all broken down and seeing the lads cutting the raw steel on the laser, weld it up, then it comes to me for powder coating. When I get to start powder coating it, I get to see the start of the end-product before it gets sent out of the door, so it’s really rewarding.
How has the industry changed over the years?
Barbara: One of the main changes is the industry has become more automated. With this change, people miss the relationships and people they would usually work with through the fabrication process. We still give them the personal relationship that they want and enjoy, they get to see who they work with and engage with them directly, it’s what sets us apart.
Elliot: While automation has become more common in the industry, we still have long-time staff members on the team. Some have been here over 10 years, and one lad has been here from leaving school and now he’s in his mid-30s and still working with us and enjoying what he does.
What does the future hold for C&C Fabrications?
Chris T: We’ve invested more in recent years in our facilities and capabilities, which has helped us move with the times and stay ahead of the game a little bit. We invested in brake presses and powder coating, as well as in the state-of-the-art laser cutter. This meant we’ve been able to expand the services we offer and become even more of a one-stop shop.
Barbara: There’s so many exciting parts to working in steel fabrication, I’m excited to see where the industry and C&C is going to go in the future.
